I’ve always liked this britax boulavard car seat
It’s easy to adjust, seems comfortable, and is very sturdy.
That’s all fine and good, but today came the true test that I hope no parent has to experience; although inevitably some will.
This afternoon my husband, niece, 13 month old son, and I were driving home from a family vacation
when we hit a patch of water and hydroplaned off the interstate into a tree going 70mph.
Our full size SUV was completely totaled, but the Britax Marathon Click Tight held its own.
Not only did this car seat keep my little boy alive despite my car being wrapped around a tree, but my son didn’t have a scratch on him!
The first thing I did after the first responders confirmed my sons health was order this seat again.
I’m a few weeks pregnant with our second child (also safe) and plan on finding another Britax to use as her infant car seat as well.

● Easy Installation, Ok Width, Very Heavy
My goal in a convertible car seat was obviously, safety first,
but also something that didn't take up too much space (both width and length), was easy to install safely, had a cover that could be removed easily for cleaning, and easy to use in the day-to-day.
First what I like:
• I feel like my kid is safe. This thing is a tank! Lifting it is a serious chore which makes me feel more secure about it if I were to get into an accident versus something flimsy and plastic.
• It's super easy to install, both with the seatbelt and the LATCH clips because of the click connect.
I can get it in my car in just a couple of minutes with no movement whatsoever.
I also like the ball angle indicator on both sides vs other seats
where you have to eyeball whether a line on a sticker is parallel to the ground.
• My kid is comfortable. She regularly falls asleep in here.
The straps don't leave red marks on her neck and the padding is super cushy.
• It's super easy to adjust for other people's kids and
as she grows - just pull up on the red handle on top. Done.
• The cow print is adorable and doesn't show stains easily - even though it is partially white.
● Good car seat, clicktight has small learning curve
Great car seat. the harness buckle between the legs is very short and
requires you to loosen and tighten the straps each time you put your child in.
I can live with that because of the safety ratings and such of this car seat - it's worth it to me.
My 14 mo old seems comfortable and while we have a small car and it can't recline super far, I was expecting that.
One more thing to note: you can get the clicktight too tight!!
I almost couldn't get it un-clicked because I had the strap in the clicktight technology too tight.
Once we were able to press down on the seat, get the clicktight undone and loosen the strap a little, we were good to go.
It is extremely secure and in the perfect position -- it just has a little learning curve at first!
● Installing it is super easy!

Love that you can lift the middle of the car seat and just buckle the seat belt and boom the car seat is and feels so secured!!
Definitely love it knowing it’ll be keeping my daughter safe at all times in the car.
Only thing I would say is I wish I could place her in the middle seat but with the way my suv is set up ,
is if her car seat is in the middle it’ll be almost impossible for anyone to sit
and buckle their seat on either side of her.
So I have her behind the passenger side. No biggie tho. Great car seat and definitely recommend
● Click and safe snug harness is no longer a feature
This is the first Boulevard we have owned.
However, I was aware of the “Click and safe” snug harness feature, as other mom friends
I know have the same seat abs I have tried it out.
Theirs clicks along the way as you tighten the child’s harness.
It clicks until the belt is at the right tightness.
However, when I received my Boulevard it didn’t make any clicking sound and I worried that it jeopardized the safety of the straps.
I contacted Britax directly and I was told that they revised this safety feature and discontinued it,
due to too many consumers solely relying on the clicking sound to assess the level of appropriate tightness.
● Worth the investment and peace of mind.
We are so grateful for the peace of mind that these carseats provides knowing that
it is safely toting our most prized possessions around in our vehicles.
That alone is worth the price.
If you travel often, we recommend buying the Britax carseat travel cart.
It sets up similarly to a dolly that you clip the carseat to stroll the carseat around the airport.
It fits easily under the seat in front of you as well as above you in the overhead bins.
It's amazing. We bought ours second-hand at a consignment store,
but it's worth the price for ease of travel. The carseats are heavy, but well constructed.
● Britax car seat Recommend for small car
This car seat was a breeze to install! I tested it out on my big kid and am now currently using it for my infant.
My older child loved it, he thought it was so comfortable.
My infant seems to like it as well, no tears! If you have a small car and need a more narrow seat, this is it.
After lots of research on car seat dimensions and safety,
this seemed to be the best choice for my needs... the only draw back i can think of is if you’re tall or have a tall passenger,
this seat might not work so well rear facing behind that seat in the “light blue” setting.
I have it behind the passenger seat which I moved all the way up and
the back rest is very upright in order for the car seat to be where it needs to be.
Other than that, no complaints.
● No chemical flame retardant, easy to install.
I am so glad for the safe wash fabric, free of added chemical flame retardants!
I like that the straps can tuck in the slots when baby is not in the car seat,
so you don’t have to fish behind his back to get the straps out.
●●I will buy nothing but Britax car seats
Besides The fact that this is one of the safest if not the safest car seat on the market,
its also incredibly easy to use and put into my car.
I have used these as a nanny and now use them as a mother.
Yes it is a big car seat. Yes it is heavy. And yes it is expensive.
But my child's life is more important than any of those factors.
