I cannot say enough good things about this lotus travel crib and portable baby play yard
But I'll try. Before I get to the construction, I'll mention that this is a long-overdue review,
because this company was as generous to us as customers as a company could reasonably be.
Thank you, Guava!
First, the construction - it's lightweight without being flimsy,
and fully opened, the mattress rests directly on the floor (which yields a much more even sleep surface than products that "suspend" their mattress floors).
Our son used this as his primary bed for an entire year (from about six months to a year-and-a-half),
since our shoebox Queens apartment didn't have room for a full size crib.
Still, it was nicely spacious for him, and the sidewalls were just high enough for him to eventually pull himself up,
but not climb over.
The zipper is low enough that he couldn't maneuver the side flap open from the inside,
but when left open, it was a nice way for him to independently enter and exit the crib.
We traveled a fair amount during that year, and it's a PERFECT fit for the overhead luggage compartments on all but the smallest commuter planes.
The mattress folds around the frame, and protects it well during transit.
It's totally easy to clean - even the mesh - and we learned this through some serious baby messes...
But now the customer care story: my 6'3" husband was vacuuming one day, tripped over the cord, and fell INTO the crib.
It's strong, but not that strong; two legs snapped.
Incredibly, we'd just received a new twin mattress for our son to transition that very day,
so he did have a place to sleep that night.
But we still were dependent on the Lotus for travel.
So we contacted Guava to purchase replacement legs (they're not designed to come apart, but can be unscrewed if you really want to).
They immediately made it clear that we would not be charged (and yes,
we told the truth about what had happened), and assured us that the new legs would be at our home by the end of the week.
But it gets better: the next day, we got a call from them, apologizing that the legs were no longer the same design,
so they'd already put an entire new frame in the mail to us,
which arrived about 42 hours total after my husband had squashed it!
Fast forward another year.
Our son is two-and-a-half, and visiting his grandpa with his father.
He's still happily sleeping in his Lotus.
● Very impressive design

● Worth every penny
This was the best purchase for our baby/toddler.
It is truly light-weight and great for travelling, very easy to set up and fold down,
and I love that it comes with it's own travel bag.
Also really liked the zipper entrance on the side- great for little ones who like to crawl in and out of their "house"
when you don't need to have it closed for sleeping or other situations.
● Sleeping through the night!
My 14 month old daughter has separation anxiety and would wake up often at night to look for me.
With her crib, she would hurt herself on the hard rails when she would get up at night.
Even though I sleep in the room with her, the crib feels too far from me and she would cry unless I held her.
With this lotus crib, I can put her next to my bed.
The sides are soft and breathable and the top rails are well padded.
She sometimes wakes up at night to check to see if I’m in my bed next to her
but she doesn’t cry and doesn’t need me to hold her.
She simply falls back into her bed and puts herself to sleep.
We both get at least 8 hrs of sleep at night and both wake up happy!
Life saver for us!
This crib was so easy and compact to take on trips with us as well.
● Perfect for Petite Moms (and Dads!)
It's so easy to set up and take down.
They even have the instructions on a tag attached to the crib so you don't have to fool with using a manual.
It's very lightweight, so if you want to move it room to room
you can easily do that and this makes traveling with it a breeze.
My favorite part about this crib is the zip down panel.
I'm a 4'11" tall mom and this is a lifesaver for me as
I wouldn't not be able to reach my child from a traditional portable crib on the lowest setting.
I feel like all petite moms absolutely need this crib.
I also love how I can snuggle with my baby if she's having trouble falling asleep.
There have been many times where I've dozed off laying half in this crib with her
because it's so cozy and comfy.
Other warn you of the mattress thickness, but I assure you that it's not a problem for us.
It's just cushy enough (hence me also falling asleep laying on it) and my daughter may even sleep better on this mattress
than she does our super expensive crib mattress.
To sum this up, this crib is hands down our favorite baby product and one that we will continue to use with this
baby and future children (we plan to get the bassinet attachment with our next child).
Money very very well spent.
P.S. Their customer service - the owner's themselves - are wonderful people who respond quickly.
I wish I could hug them for inventing this.

I debated buying this crib versus other travel cribs for some time.
This one was the way to go.
It's light, sets up in about a minute, takes down in two minutes, and has been great for traveling around the country
and to other countries with a baby.
We put him in it for a week or so before a trip to get used to it again,
and he has no problems sleeping it it later.
● You won’t regret buying this! Great investment!
We love this travel crib/playpen!
It’s one of the few on the market that does not have the harsh chemicals from fire retardants
that we are allergic to.
My family travels every week so having things that are easy, compact and portable are a must.
This is so easy to set up, pack up and carry.
It’s also light! For reference, I’m 5’2, 110lbs.
I sometimes have to carry my 25 lbs daughter in an ergo in the front,
with the playpen on my back, while carrying to full bags of clothes and groceries
while having a dog in my free hand.
I highly recommend this! Having this playpen pack into a backpack option is one of the best features.
Small space convenience
Lightweight but sturdy.
My baby is trying to stand and, while inside, fell next to the edge of the enclosure.
It was a nice touch the metal legs are out far enough so my baby hit the mesh side but didn't hurt himself on the metal.
We are at a little bit of a space crunch and this is perfect for our needs.
Our baby moves while sleeping, and he can roll to the edge and still breathe because of the mesh.
We use this as a crib and a playpen.
My older kids would get to the point where they could throw themselves out of their crib.
So, it is nice that this is lower to the ground to avoid high falls, if he gets strong and is able to climb out.
It is also very easy to move around. Good product!
● Chose this one over baby Bjorn because it fits inside a large suitcase
I was between this crib and the baby Bjorn.
I bought both of them and returned the baby Bjorn
because this one fits inside a large suit case.
And you can also carry it as backpack which is a plus.
The baby Bjorn is too wide when folded and bulky to carry by hand.
I liked that this crib has a window with a zipper, makes diaper changing easier.
The mattress that comes with it is also decent and thick.
I just wish it was a bit cheaper but overall I’m satisfied.
● The absolute best travel crib you can find.
The GUAVA! I love.
It's great for playtime when you're trying to enclose a baby long enough to make dinner or run upstairs for a quick second.
It's also the most amazing travel crib for babies
who take forever to settle when you're not at home.
It is super lightweight, easy to assemble, easy to wipe clean, easy to break down, easy to fold away.
